International students are mostly accommodated in Akadeemia tee 7/2, Akadeemia tee 7/1, Akadeemia tee 11 and Akadeemia tee 5 student residences. The residential space is apartment-type, which consists of two twin rooms; there is a kitchenette, shower and toilet (to share for maximum 4 persons).
The price for one bed is presented in every student residence section in our homepage (Student Residences), plus utilities, approx. total amount of those is 20-30 EUR (depending on the season). It is obligatory to pay the deposit, which per one bed is also different in each house. The room keys are issued only after receiving the deposit.
The deposit will be refunded after the expiry or termination of the contract, if there is no debt in rent payment and the student residence room is in order.
It is also possible to rent a twin room for single use. In this case all the expenses are doubled (including the deposit).
As a rule the places for international students are reserved by TUT International Study Center, however you should always specify it in advance.
NB! Only degree students are accommodated to the student residence (bachelor and master's studies). Different exchange programs (e.g. Erasmus) students are being accommodated in Academic Hostel.

All the applications are forming a queque according to their submitting time.
After that TUT Student Campus will forward you an offer for residential space, which you need to accept. Following the accepting, you will receive a shortened version of the contract for use and first invoice which serves as the deposit for the contract.
You need to sign the paper copies of the contract for use at TUT Student Campus office (Check Office hours).

You can only pay the invoices issued by TUT Student Campus by bank transfers. You should consider that the international payment may take 3-10 days.
For persons who stay in Estonia for a longer time, we advise to open a local bank account. It is a simple procedure which takes about 5 days and is for free. A bank transfer within Estonia is fast and cheap. With opening an account, a very convenient internet banking possibility is included.
In the student residence room there is elementary furniture, the rent also includes primary daily-life equipment (Only applies for Akadeemia tee 7/2, in other residences you have to bring the equipment with you): bed linen, a blanket, pillow, towels, dishes, a pot, a pan and water boiler (kettle).
As the room has to be kept clean by yourself, then also you need to buy the means for cleaning yourself.
In the rooms there is internet connection and TV signal available. There is no TV.
On the 0-floor of the student residence there is laundry service for independent use. The price for this is 4 EUR/per month.
There is the possibility of using both bicycle as well as car parking; there is a free of charge parking lot on the ground and an under-ground parking lot for a fee of 7EUR/per month.
