DPA has altogether about 30 employees (including around 20 full-time academic staff) and around 500 students. DPA currently consists of five academic chairs. 

In the classic European tradition, these chairs are independent academic units responsible for research and teaching in the chair's designated area, and they are generally headed by full elected professors.

The chairs cover the full range of research fields that, put together, reflect the interdisciplinarity of DPA's research and teaching.
