Reminder to students graduating in January 2019
Submitting the Application for Defence:
Master students submit an Application for Defence of Graduation Thesis through ÕIS by
December 17, 2018, which is the deadline specified in our Academic Calendar. When filling in the application form, please make sure that the topic of your thesis is correct both in English and Estonian. Do not use all capitals (caps lock) in the topics in your application. If you need to change the topic after the deadline, please turn to the Dean's Office.
Submit your graduation thesis, metadata and a non-exclusive licence for publication and reproduction of the graduation thesis to the Department, where you will defend your thesis.
Preliminary defence dates, deadline for submitting the graduation thesis and the person to whom these should be submitted are specified by the Department.
The graduation thesis must follow the requirements established by the School of Science in the "Guideline for Writing Graduation Theses".
Fulfilment of graduation criteria
Students are permitted to the defence only if the graduation criteria have been fulfilled - grades entered in ÕIS, traineeship (practical training) completed, study programme completed, invoices paid, etc. - therefore you should check as early as possible that you have completed all that is necessary. Turn to the Dean's Office, when in doubt or if you have any questions.
Defence of graduation thesis
The defence panel of the Department determines, when and where the defence will take place. Detailed information is provided by the employees organising the defence, or on the website of the study programme or Department.
