Workshop of Green Logistics Competence for the Trans-Eurasian land bridge
This week, between 02.04. and 09.04.2018, a development and implementation workshop of master’s programme “Green Logistics Management” in frame of the ERASMUS+ project “LogOn-U: Advancing Trans-Eurasian Accessibility through Sustainable Logistics Management and ICT Competence” takes place at the Department of Business Administration. The workshop hosts 19 participants from Kazakhstan, Estonia and Germany and the majority of the participants are from universities in Rudny Industrial Institute, Kostanay State University and Caspian University.
Since 2015 the “LogOn-U” project consortium from Estonia, Germany, Sweden, Kazakhstan and Russia, under the leadership of Wismar University of Applied Sciences, work together to strengthen logistics competence along the Trans-Eurasian land bridge between Europe and China by establishing in Kazakhstan and Russia master’s programs in “Green Logistics Management” in the partner universities on international level in accordance to the Bologna process.
During the development and implementation workshop in Tallinn the focus for the participants is laid on the study of multi-modal and smart solutions for sustainable transport as well as on e-logistics and alternative fuels. The gained green logistics competence of the workshop aims to improve competitiveness of the large investments for the development of the Trans-Eurasian transport corridors and to handle the future transport volume between the Far-East and Europe along the Trans-European land bridge in a greener and more efficient way.
