Slovakian President's academic, business and public administration delegations visited TTU and Mektory
Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic Mr Vazil Hudák and Slovakian President's Mr Andrej Kiska academic, business and public administration delegations visited Tallinn University of Technology and TTU Innovation and Business Centre Mektory on 19.10.2015 during their state visit to Estonia.
TTU Vice-Rector for innovation and international relations Ms Tea Varrak welcomed the the minister and delegations in Mektory – all together 60 visitors from Slovakian public administration offices, companies and academic sector. Ms Varrak took the delegations on tour of Mektory building, where Slovakian delegates were introduced to Prof. Mr Hendrik Voll at ventilation lab. Durign the tour visitors from Slovakia were surprised seeing primary school children programming robots at Lego robotics workshop.
During the seminar in Mektory conference hall the representatives from Estonian Development Fund, Enterprise Estonia, KredEx and Science Park Tehnopol and Startup Incubator introduced Estonian start-up and innovation ecosystem to the visitors during 2 hour-long seminar.
Slovakian Academic delegation visited the TUT main building and met with TUT Vice-Rector for Research Mr Renno Veinthal to discuss TTU´s main strategy and goals in research. And to end the day Slovakian delegations met with Estonian Companies during the informal reception in Mektory, arranged by American Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia.
