This year’s support sum of TUT Prototron is nearly 100,000 euros
Research teams of Tallinn University of Technology (TUT) have a chance to submit applications to the TUT Prototron round of applications until August 15.
This is the first time when nearly 100,000 euros will be awarded as support; 45,000 euros of this sum will come from The Harry and Reba Huge Foundation. Only the applications that are based on inventions of TUT shall be taken into consideration.
All academic structural units of TUT can apply for support for their ideas (with the consent of the author of the invention), and so can legal persons, in which at least one author of a TUT invention, which is the basis for the application, holds participation.
In order to submit an application:
1. Fill in the Application form in English
2. Fill in the Twopager, preferably in Estonian
3. Send the filled in documents and, if necessary, additional documents (figures, schemes, pictures etc.) via email to olga at prototron dot ee and kersti dot peekma at ttu dot ee by 15.08.2016 at the latest
Applications that have been submitted by August 12, at the latest, shall receive feedback from Olga Tšernikova, representative of MTÜ Prototron. The applicants will be able to make improvements to their applications based on this feedback and resubmit their applications by 15.08.2016 at the latest.
The applications will be evaluated by the The Experts’ Committee of MTÜ Prototron, the members of which are Priit Alamäe (Nortal), Heiki Raadik (Swedbank), Jaak Raie (Tehnopol), Yrjö Ojasaar (Solon Partners), Andrus Oks (SmartCap), Jaanus Tamm (Defendec), Margus Uudam (EstVCA) and Madis Raukas (Tallinn University of Technology).
The Experts’ Committee shall evaluate the submitted applications and select up to 7 projects that will advance to the next round. The selected applicants will prepare a slide presentation about their project, which will be presented by one member of their team. A representative of Tehnopol can provide assistance to project teams, should that be necessary. The decision about granting support shall be made by October 6, at the latest.
