Professor Riina Aav
I am leading supramolecular chemistry group and our research interests are synthesis and characterisation of asymmetric container and host molecules, their formation, structure, chiroptical and supramolecular properties as well as their applications in chiral sensing. See our ongoing projects.
Riina Aav obtained Eng, MSc, and PhD (2005) degrees from Tallinn University of Technology, worked at University of Geneva, Switzerland (2000) and was a Fulbright Visiting Scientist at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, USA (2008-2009), in April 2018 worked as a Visiting Professor at Lodž University, Poland. Elected as an Associated Professor in 2010 and since December 2018 named as a Tenure Professor of Analytical Chemistry at Tallinn University of Technology.
