Kristjan Vassil is a research fellow at the Institute of Government and Politics, University of Tartu. He holds a PhD in political science from the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. His thesis focused on the effect of ICTs on voting behavior. Kristjan’s research focus lies mostly with the impact of public e-services, most notably internet voting and voting advice applications, on individual level behavior. In his work Kristjan makes use of statistical modeling and causal analysis. For academic as well as science popularization purposes he has developed several voting advice applications in Estonia and across Europe.
