Studying as a visiting student at TTÜ
Six Estonian higher education institutions (Tallinn University of Technology, Tallinn University, University of Tartu, Estonian Academy of Arts, Estonian University of Life Sciences, Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre) have concluded an agreement under which students can listen to lectures in another higher education institution, where the level of the quality of studies is mutually acceptable.
The students of other higher education institutions can study in Tallinn University of Technology through Open University, where a tuition fee is charged for the studies.
How to become a visiting student at TTÜ?
To become a visiting student of physical education, you need to submit a referral form.
A student can get a referral form from his/her home institution. Prior approval of the referral form is not required for declaring the physical education course at TTÜ. The referral form shall be submitted to TTÜ's Office of Academic Affairs (Ehitajate tee 5, room IV-106), where the person will be registered as a TTÜ visiting student. You can also send a digitally signed referral form to the e-mail address: erge dot edesi at ttu dot ee.
Recognition of the courses passed
You need to declare the courses you want to study at TTÜ (i.e. register to the lectures of the lecturer) in the TTÜ study information system ÕIS by the deadline laid down in the academic calendar. You can access the study information system with your ID card.
If you do not have an ID card or you have problems in accessing the study information system, please contact the TTÜ Information Systems Division (Akadeemia tee 3, room X-132).
As for academic policies, the rights and obligations laid down for students apply to visiting students.
Upon completion of the study period, the dean's office of the faculty shall issue an academic transcript (in the Estonian and English language) to the visiting student or forward it, at the request of the student, to his/her home university.
You can find more detailed information on the courses provided at Tallinn University of Technology from the TTÜ study information system.
